LPN/LVN-PRN (Bessemer Location)

LPN(PRN)

Alabama Clinical Schools has been a behavioral healthcare provider in the Birmingham area for over 20 years. This position is for our Besssemer Group Home location. Our treatment services range from intensive residential treatment for males ages 9-18 to therapeutic foster care for males and females of all ages. Our mission is simple: to enrich lives of at-risk youth and their families by delivering quality behavioral and educational services while fostering a safe transition to the community.

The LPN must have credentials to direct physical management of the patient and have current CPR certification. Collaborates with members of other disciplines. Observes patient behavior for changes in order to intervene therapeutically, guide non-professional nursing staff, communicate changes to appropriate staff, and record changes. Assists with the staffing process for nursing issues. Assists with reviewing all the staffing schedule and informing managers of potential overtime issues then assists managers in making necessary changes as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing. One (1) year psychiatric experience preferred, but not required. Current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Alabama. Current CPR Certification required. Must have a successful background, drug screening, and ABI/FBI fingerprints.
