Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an inpatient Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a specialized focus on stroke (neuro) patient populations, maintaining a 1:5–1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform telemetry remote monitoring and, preferably, on-unit monitoring; manage patients with multiple co-morbidities
• Carry out feeding tube care and management, wound care, and wound vac management
• Perform vascular access procedures including accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care and management, PICC line management, peripheral line care, and starting IVs
• Administer care involving CVA protocols, nasal cannula oxygen delivery, and isolation precautions
• Float to other system campuses as needed; all travelers are subject to floating between all network facilities

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO will be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• On-unit telemetry monitoring experience (in addition to remote monitoring)
• Prior experience caring for stroke or neurological patient populations
• Familiarity with multi-campus health system environments and floating protocols
