$1000 Sign-On Bonus Direct Support Professional/Caregiver in South Abington Township, PA Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver – South Abington Township, PA Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $17–$25/hr Flexible Schedules | Weekly Pay | Paid Training | Growth Opportunities | Team Environment Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support a young child with Autism Spectrum Disorder and a seizure disorder residing in South Abington Township, PA . The individual lives at home with family and receives school-based services, ABA therapy, and In-Home & Community Supports designed to improve communication, behavior, daily living skills, and community participation. The individual enjoys outdoor activities, sensory play, structured routines, and community outings. Communication occurs through a communication device and sign language. Due to behavioral and safety concerns, including elopement risk, self‑injurious behaviors, aggression, sensory needs, and difficulty with transitions, active supervision and engagement are required throughout scheduled hours. This role focuses on daily living support, safety supervision, behavioral support, and community involvement. The ideal DSP will be patient, consistent, dependable, and comfortable supporting a child with Autism and behavioral needs. What You'll Do As a DSP, you will provide hands‑on support that helps the individual remain safe, engaged, and successful at home and in the community. Responsibilities include: Provide prompts and assistance with daily activities and routines Assist with morning, after‑school, and weekend routines Support communication using a communication device, sign language, and non‑verbal cues Maintain close supervision and ensure safety at all times Implement positive behavioral supports and redirection strategies Assist with community outings, recreational activities, and social opportunities Engage in sensory activities and outdoor play Reinforce goals and strategies established through ABA therapy and other services Monitor for seizure‑related concerns and follow safety protocols Support skill development and independence‑building activities Communicate effectively with family members and the Abound Health team Complete required documentation and participate in ongoing training Monday: 6:00 AM - 8:15 AM & 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM Tuesday: 6:00 AM - 8:15 AM & 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM Thursday: 6:00 AM - 8:15 AM & 3:00 PM - 6:30 PM Friday: 6:00 AM - 8:15 AM Saturday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM Approximately 28 Hours Per Week Flexible schedules (full-time and part‑time opportunities) Weekly pay Bonus opportunities (e.g., referral bonus) Paid onboarding and training Opportunities for advancement and career growth Scholarship Program Invitations to company events and DSP community activities Medical, dental, life insurance, and 401(k) eligibility based on hours worked Requirements Must be 18 years or older Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks Experience supporting children, Autism Spectrum Disorder, or behavioral needs preferred Comfortable providing active supervision and community support Ability to implement behavioral strategies and maintain safety in various settings Ability to support communication through alternative communication methods Dependable, patient, and able to follow established routines and support plans Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required.
