Compensation: 100% commission, initial 6-month guarantee of $3,000-$3,500 per month, DOE

Expected Annual Earnings Range: $50,000-$90,000+, Depending on Performance

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary duty of the KWPZ Account Executive is generating advertising revenue for KWPZ FM, KWPZ Stream, PRAISE 1065.com, KCIS, KCMS, and digital properties at established rates following station guidelines for negotiations with the purpose of growing the advertisers’ business and generating revenue for CRISTA Media. The Account Executive develops new business opportunities, conducts in-person sales presentations, secures advertising agreements, and maintains relationships with existing and prospective advertisers through regular face-to-face meetings at customer locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

DUTIES:
Outside Sales and Business Development

• Develop new advertising revenue through direct, in-person solicitation of prospective advertisers, agencies, and business decision-makers.
• Conduct regular face-to-face sales calls with existing and prospective customers at their places of business and other customer-selected locations.
• Obtain advertising contracts, advertising commitments, sponsorship agreements, and related revenue-producing business opportunities.
• Meet or exceed established goals for new business development, account growth, and revenue generation.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, customer visits, referrals, networking activities, and community engagement.
• Conduct advertising presentations and proposal meetings with prospective and existing customers.
• Maintain and expand relationships with local businesses, advertising agencies, chambers of commerce, nonprofit organizations, churches, and community leaders to generate advertising revenue.
• Represent CRISTA Media at business, networking, and community events for the purpose of developing new advertising opportunities and cultivating customer relationships.
• Develop integrated marketing and advertising solutions that address customer business objectives and generate revenue for CRISTA Media.
• Conduct recurring account reviews and renewal meetings with advertisers to secure continued and expanded advertising commitments.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers, prospects, referral sources, and advertising partners. 

Sales Administration

• Prepare sales proposals, presentations, advertising recommendations, and related customer materials.
• Accurately complete contracts, orders, production requests, and related sales documentation.
• Maintain customer and prospect activity records within CRM systems and other required platforms.
• Submit reports, forecasts, and sales activity updates in a timely manner.
• Coordinate internally with traffic, production, promotions, and business office personnel to ensure fulfillment of customer commitments.
• Collect and assist in resolving customer billing and payment matters as necessary.
• Participate in required sales meetings, training, and professional development activities.

Other

• Perform other duties as assigned in support of revenue generation and customer relationship development. 

Conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).

CHRIST CENTERED

• Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
• Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God (e.g. daily spiritual rhythms of prayer, fellowship, Bible study, etc.).
• Prayerfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
• Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices.
• Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
• Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
• Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. 

• Two years’ sales experience.

• WA State Driver’s License 

• Microsoft Windows and Office software 

• This is an exempt, outside sales position. Regular and recurring in-person meetings with customers and prospective customers away from CRISTA Media facilities are an essential function of the role. The primary duty of the position is obtaining advertising sales and customer commitments through direct sales activity conducted at customer locations and in the community. Administrative and office-based work is performed in support of sales activities and is not the primary purpose of the position.

• May occasionally be required to work on weekends and off-hours. 
• Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions. (WAC 388-113) 

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.  

• Three years in advertising sales. 

• Tapscan, Efficio, Qualitap, Adobe, X-Ray, Wide Orbit and Internet Services.
