Cycle CounterSummary: The Cycle Counter is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory, performing cycle count duties, and storing and moving material to ensure accurate inventory control. This position reports to the Warehouse department but will take daily direction by the Warehouse Foreman.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Cycle counts raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods.Ensure materials are in proper locations and conduct searches to locate misclassified inventory.Perform daily cycle counts.Organize and clean as material is being counted.Monitor and maintain inventory integrity.Monitor that FIFO is being practiced.Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy.Consolidate multiple SAP bin locations and maintain ERP default bins.Research inventory discrepancies.Investigate the root causes of inventory discrepancies.Recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.Work with Warehouse and Inventory Control Management to resolve inventory problems in a timely manner.Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand.Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products.Qualifications:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.Integrity- Job requires being honest and ethical.Self-control – Job requires maintaining professional composure.Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.Self-motivated, cooperative team member with a personal commitment to excellence.Experience working on the shop floor.Must demonstrate strong communication skills.Technology oriented - ability to work with scanners, iPods, computers, etc.Strong attention to detail and time management skills.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Previous experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word required.Proficient with basic math.Education/Experience:Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required2+ years' work experience as a cycle counter (preferred)Inventory control experience: 1 year (preferred)Prior warehouse/inventory experienceSAP WM/MRP/ERP system (preferred)Language Skills:Ability to read and understand English instructionsMathematical Skills:Strong math skillsConversion to lowest unit of measure and calculating pricePhysical Requirements:General warehouse cleanup and housekeepingMust be able to stand, walk, sit, bend, run, squat and on occasion, lift up to 35-40 lbsWork Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a warehouse and manufacturing environment.The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions, and vibration.The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Nearest Major Market: Denton Nearest Secondary Market: Dallas
