Manufacturing Quality Assurance and Quality Control Manager

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Manager to lead our Quality department and drive excellence in manufacturing operations. This role will oversee all quality functions, ensure compliance with Weatherford's Global QMS and customer requirements, and spearhead quality improvement initiatives to achieve zero defects and zero quality escapes. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership in quality assurance, process qualification, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the Manufacturing Quality department, ensuring full compliance with ISO 9001, API Q1, and customer specificationsDevelop and implement quality plans, operational procedures, quality assurance systems, and process qualificationsMaintain and continuously improve the Site Quality Management System, including procedures and work instructionsDevelop and execute annual audit programs; conduct detailed audits to ensure certification compliance and regulatory standardsOversee day-to-day QA/QC activities, contract reviews, and Quality Control Plans (QCPs) for production ordersDrive quality improvement programs aligned with corporate objectives, focusing on zero defects and cost of quality reductionManage TMDE (Testing Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment) calibration programs and equipment controlFacilitate root cause analysis and corrective action implementation; verify effectiveness of corrective measuresMonitor quality KPIs and conduct Quality Management reviews with cross-functional leadership teamsCollaborate with Engineering, Sourcing, Product Line, and Operations teams to address quality issuesInterface with internal/external customers, third-party auditors, and certification bodiesHire, train, and develop quality personnel; establish clear goals and conduct performance reviewsExercise 'Stop Work Authority' when safety, quality, or integrity concerns ariseSkills and EducationBachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred)8+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment5+ years of hands-on knowledge with ISO 9001 or API Q1 quality management systems5+ years of Manufacturing Quality experience specifically related to Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assemblyExperience with IPC-610 standard for electronic assembliesDemonstrated leadership capabilities with strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAnalytical expertise in defect data analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative actionsAbility to coordinate effectively with customers, suppliers, and third-party auditorsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with critical thinking capabilitiesCertified ISO auditorIPC-610 certificationExperience with Oil Field Wireline assembly operations#LI-KP1Weatherford is a leading global energy services company.
