Our client is looking for a IT Systems Support Specialist for a year long onsite contract opportunity located in Sacramento, CA.

responsibilities:
Role Summary Seeking an IT Software and Support Specialist (ITSSS) whose primary duty will be providing on-site Field Service support for regional teams and departments. This role supports various functional business units while adhering to established organizational IT standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Desktop & Field Support: Image, install, configure, and relocate IT equipment and peripherals (e.g., specialized receipt/label printers, barcode scanners).
• Tier 2 Technical Support: Handle escalated Service Desk tickets, resolve hardware and software issues, and remotely assist end-users with multi-factor authentication (MFA), VPNs, and network resource connectivity.
• System Imaging & Deployment: Deploy operating system images (both guided and unattended) and execute software package deployments using endpoint management platforms.
• Asset & Identity Management: Update hardware/software inventory assignments in tracking databases and assist with user identity/directory management.
• User Training & Enablement: Guide end-users on operating systems, productivity software, utilities, and enterprise web application environments (including browser configuration).

Key Qualifications & Skills

Technical Troubleshooting: Experience diagnosing and resolving Windows operating system issues, software application errors, and hardware peripheral faults.

Customer Service & Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for clear end-user interaction and detailed technical documentation.

Adaptability & Precision: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Directory Services Knowledge: Familiarity with Active Directory or equivalent identity and access management tools.
