Experienced Concrete Laborer for Small Solar Project

$23/hour, project will be 2-3 weeks. MUST have previous concrete experience.

Job Description:

This role involves performing hands-on concrete work on an active construction site, including basic rebar tying, concrete placement, and site preparation. You will support the construction of structural elements by working with forms, reinforcing steel, and backfilling operations in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Essential Skills:

• 1–2 years of basic concrete experience in a construction environment.
• Experience with basic rebar tying for reinforced concrete structures.
• Ability to pour concrete into forms and assist with concrete placement and consolidation.
• Familiarity with backfilling and compacting soil around foundations, trenches, or structures.
• Understanding of concrete construction processes, including working with forms and finishes.
• Ability to work safely around trenches, heavy equipment, and other trades on an active job site.
• Capability to perform physically demanding labor, including lifting, bending, and working outdoors for extended periods.
• Experience in general construction, particularly on civil or infrastructure projects.
• Former experience in carpentry tasks related to concrete formwork.
• Exposure to concrete finishing techniques, such as smoothing and edging surfaces.
• Comfort working on solar or renewable energy construction projects.
• Willingness to travel for additional project opportunities when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Tie rebar according to specifications to reinforce concrete structures safely and accurately.
• Pour concrete into forms and ensure proper placement, consolidation, and finishing as directed.
• Assist with setting up, bracing, and stripping concrete forms to support construction activities.
• Backfill excavated areas with dirt and operate compaction equipment to achieve required density.
• Support concrete finishing activities, including smoothing and leveling surfaces as needed.
• Handle and move construction materials such as rebar, formwork, and concrete-related supplies.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with other trades on the job site.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area around trenches, equipment, and public spaces.
• Use hand tools and power tools related to concrete and carpentry tasks as required.
• Adhere to all site safety rules and procedures while working around the general public and other trades.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Albuquerque, NM.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
