Support Care Assistant MO Department of Mental Health / Division of Developmental Disabilities / Bellefontaine Habilitation Center (BHC) Salary :$17.37 per hour *The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. Years of service adjustments, shift differentials, and other targeted salary payments are applied to the total compensation of your paycheck and are subject to eligibility requirements of the appropriate differential. The Support Care Assistant (SCA) is a first-level direct care position accountable for assisting clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, bed making, shaving, dressing, and other related tasks.Assists in checking vital signs, height, and weight as assigned; collects and maintains records of fluid intake and output; and reports on the condition of clients. Work involves establishing effective interpersonal relationships with clients, co-workers, and other members of treatment unit and responsibility for observing, reporting, and maintaining documentation of physical, mental, and behavioral condition of clients. Preferred at least one year of work experience. Ability to pass background checks including Fingerprints from MO Highway Patrol and FBI, Missouri State Taxes, Family Care Safety Registry, and internal checks. A drive to want to care for others.
