Direct Support ProfessionalsFounded and headquartered in Danielson in 2006, with additional program locations established in Avon and Bethany Connecticut, The Supported Living Group (SLG) provides industry leading non-medical community based and person centered support services throughout the state of Connecticut.Multiple shifts available:Monday and Thursday, 2pm-6pmMonday 3pm-7am, Saturday 8am-1pmMonday Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:30am- 2:30pmWhat you need to be qualified for this job:Employees are required to have the following:Excellent communicationProblem-solvingA commitment to the health and wellbeing of othersFlexibilityAbility to work as a teamCan do attitudeDesire to improve the quality of life for a person with disabilitiesExperience working with disabled individuals preferredA high school education (or GED)Reliable transportationValid driver’s licenseMust be at least 18 years or olderPersonal cell phonePersonal Care Assistant (PCA): Provides assistance with the following: eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and other activities of daily living; or supervision and cueing of these activities without actual hands-on assistance. Direct Care Staff needed as well for all locations. Hiring for multiple positions.Work schedule:This job will require you to work in the homes and communities of the individuals we serve. While each individual may have different hours, we have 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift responsibilities 7 days a week. This allows for flexibility in your work week. The majority of the individuals that we serve have services that require someone to be in their home 24 hours a day.
