We are seeking a Safety Technician to support our zero-incident culture by assisting in the implementation and monitoring of safety programs, policies, and procedures across active construction sites. This entry-level role provides the opportunity to develop foundational competencies in field observation, hazard recognition, regulatory compliance, and incident documentation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections and identify hazardous conditions.


-Assist in the development and communication of site-specific safety plans and orientation materials.


-Support pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and safety briefings with field crews.

-Verify required permits, documentation, and PPE are in place prior to work activities.


-Identify unsafe acts or conditions and support corrective actions.


-Document near-misses, first aid events, and incidents accurately.


-Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis.


-Participate in emergency response drills and ensure preparedness resources are available.


-Maintain safety logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation.


-Support audit readiness by organizing and maintaining safety files.


-Track safety training completion and communicate gaps to leadership.


-Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and craft workers to promote safe behaviors.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

-Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Construction Management, or related field preferred.


-0-2 years of experience in construction or industrial safety.


-OSHA 10 or 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.

-First Aid/CPR certification preferred.


-Additional certifications (CHST, STSC, etc.) encouraged.


-Valid driver's license required.
