The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers—the Kuskokwim and Yukon.We offer a broad range of employment opportunities and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health of people in the region.Position Summary: This position assists and supports DTII and DTIII in the provision of services to families of children 0-3 in the YK Delta. This position helps in the administrations of eligibility testing within 45 days of a referral, assists with developmental assessments. This position organizes family contact, family follow up for relevant services. This position is a member of the ILP team and supports Napartet with value added ideas, patient centered excellence, and ILP standards of excellence. This position facilitates play group. Other administrative tasks will be incorporated into the daily work flow.Position Qualifications:Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field without certification or licensure AND completion of the Part C Credential.Related Fields:· Applied Behavior Analysis· Child Development and Family Studies· Communication Sciences and Disorders· Early Childhood Development· Early Childhood Education· Early Intervention· Elementary Education· Psychology· Social Work· Speech Language Pathology Assistant· Special Education-Early Childhood, Elementary or K-8· Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing· Teacher of the Visually Impaired· Other related fields as determined by the State ILP OfficeMinimum Experience: Early childhood experience. Knowledge and willingness to learn and apply working knowledge of early childhood development. Experience with Special Needs children preferred.License, Certification, Registration: Part C Credential: Developmental Therapist I-SEED Level 9· Training plan must be developed with the supervisor and approved by state TA staff within 3 months.· Developmental Therapist Credential online modules must be completed within 3 months of employment.· Training and competency checklist must be completed and submitted to state TA staff within 2 years.· Developmental Therapist Credential must be completed within the first 2 years of employment.· Renewal and Progression-Progression to Level 10 requires submission of SEED application with documentation listed below:· Part C Credential – Developmental Therapist Certificate· Submission of the completed training and competency checklist.· If the provider does not hold a license or certification in their field of practice or endorsement in IMH, they must earn a minimum of 3 credits in ILP approved subject areas in the 2 year period of training for Level 10. Each of the following is worth 1 credit:· 1 credit of academic coursework· 1 CEU (continuing education unit)· 15 hours ILP approved in-service training, formal mentorship, or reflective supervisionEquipment/Tools: Computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, Power point, faxing, scanning, emailing. Screening tools targeting developmental and social-emotional delay e.g., IDA2 and ELAP or other evaluation tools as appropriate.Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Family Assessments, any behavioral, social language, developmental training.
