General ManagerJoin the Atira Hotels Family and Build a Legacy of Hospitality!Work Location: Four Points Mount Prospect - 2200 S Elmhurst Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000 AnnualSchedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, Night shifts, Holidays, and WeekendsJob OverviewAs the General Manager, you will ensure the smooth operation of the hotel, maximize financial returns, drive team development, create memorable guest experiences, and maintain brand standards. You will oversee all departments, ensuring profitability and strong working relationships, while managing overall guest satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management:Analyze financials to drive revenue and future profitability.Create and monitor the annual budget, ensuring the hotel meets financial targets.Team Leadership:Establish performance and development goals for team members.Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to enhance performance.Manage human resources functions, including interviewing, training, coaching, counseling, and discipline.Operational Oversight:Work with executive management, housekeeping, maintenance, restaurant, and sales to develop goals and operational objectives.Ensure all departments are profitable and maintain strong working relationships.Protect hotel assets through a preventative maintenance program.Sales and Marketing:Create local and national marketing plans and pricing strategies.Actively participate in sales discussions, meetings, and plans.Respond quickly to changing market conditions and revise strategies accordingly.Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour, and Health laws.Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, colleagues, and hotel assets.Guest Experience:Ensure overall guest satisfaction by responding quickly to guest requests and following up to ensure satisfaction.Promote hotel policies and philosophies to employees and guests through direct and indirect interaction.Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.QualificationsEducation: Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in the hotel hospitality field.Experience: 5-10 years of hotel managerial experience, with 2-5 years as General Manager in a full-service or select-service, upper mid-scale property.Certification: Alcohol awareness certification; General Manager certification as required by franchise.Skills and QualitiesStrong leadership and communication skillsAttention to detail and strong organizational abilitiesCustomer service skillsComputer and accounting knowledgeAbility to work well under pressure and handle a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidaysWorking ConditionsMust work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentRequired to be on-call when away from workMust always present a professional imageBenefitsAccident, critical medical supplement insuranceDental InsuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee hotel room discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountHoliday payLife insuranceLong-term disabilityPaid time offPaid trainingProfessional development assistanceVision insuranceWhy You'll Love Working With UsUnleash Your Creativity: We're all about innovation and fresh ideas.
