Description

The department has ongoing opportunities for part-time instructors who will teach courses that expand the breadth of our offerings in the upper-level curriculum. The department, which is dedicated to growing its research base while maintaining excellence in teaching, has core disciplines in four areas: (1) Thermal Fluid Systems, (2) Material Mechanics and Processing, (3) Robotic, Aeronautic and Automated Systems, and (4) Product Design and Human Factors (full description at

Qualifications

We are looking for experienced engineers with strong teaching and communication skills who can bring the breadth of their experience to seniors and graduate students in mechanical engineering and human factors. Advanced degree or equivalent industry experience is required, PhD is preferred. We will give preference to engineers whose experience complements that of the department faculty and who have previously demonstrated exceptional teaching skills.
