Clinical ManagerUnder the general administrative direction of the Residential Services Director-RTC, the Clinical Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of the clinical services provided to clients and families provided through the Residential Treatment Center. The Clinical Manager is responsible for hiring, clinical and personnel supervision, evaluation, and collaboratively managing the scheduling of the therapists. The Clinical Manager facilitates client intakes, clinical services, client discharges, communication with families and partnering entities and coordinates the treatment team to oversee and implement the overall clinical and case management services provided to residents in the program. The Clinical Manager maintains and upholds standards and makes sure that each client is receiving quality service planning, therapy, and all recommended services in each client's assigned service package to achieve positive client outcomes. The Clinical Manager facilitates the treatment team meetings to coordinate services and works collaboratively with Program Manager and Director to ensure treatment plans are implemented with fidelity. The Clinical Manager ensures that client documentation and client records are accurate and completed in a timely manner for review by DFPS Licensing and contracted SSCCs. The Clinical Manager communicates and coordinates with program staff to ensure effective delivery of therapeutic programming that aligns with program credentialing. The job requires sensitivity to the population's trauma history, life experiences, cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.Education: A master's degree in clinical field such as social work, counseling or psychology. Licensure as a LCSW, LMFT, or LPC.Experience: Three years of experience providing treatment services to children with emotional disorders, including one year in a residential setting. Residential treatment center experience given preference. Licensure as a Residential Child Care Administrator and TBRI® Practitioner preferred. Superior Health provider preferred.Functional: The Clinical Manager coordinates with the Chief Program & Strategy Officer, Director of Residential Services-RTC, Director of Treatment Fidelity, Director of Youth & Family Services, Program Manager, and treatment team members to ensure that the clinical goals of the program and residents are achieved, including the full implementation of trauma-informed care; that clinical fidelity to the trauma-informed care model meets standards; that children are receiving the clinical services needed, that service plans are completed and reviewed for quality and accuracy; that children are benefitting from the treatment model, that continuous stay guidelines are met, and that staff are supported in learning and maintaining their skills in trauma- informed care interventions. The position provides on call support as assigned on a rotating schedule.Additional Function Requirements:Competence in the principles and techniques of trauma-informed care; teaching and coaching of these principles and techniquesCollaborate with youth, families, treatment team, and staff for optimal servicesCreate clinical structures in plans of service and assessment tools; support their use and the clinical quality of case record documentationOversee continued stay guidelines for youth served, reviewing each child's goals and services provided to ensure they align with the child's strengths, needs and permanency plan. Provide written confirmation that the child continues to meet criteria for the program, is benefitting from the Treatment Model, and that a less restrictive setting is not more appropriate to meet the child's needs.Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the collaboration with youth, families, collaborating agencies, outside professionals and ACH Child and Family Services staffDemonstrate good judgment and the ability to work independentlyDemonstrate continuous learning through supervision, continuing education and experienceExperience and ability to generate revenues to offset clinical expenses through billing of services providedMust be able to handle a high degree of emotional stress related to resident issuesMust have excellent writing skills and the ability to complete reports and documents in a timely mannerMust possess a valid Texas driver's license and have a driving record that is within the guidelines of the insurance underwriterMust not have been convicted of a felony or criminal offense against a childMust have the ability to work flexible hoursMust be able to think globally, solve problems, and make good decisions with critical thinking skillsWorking Conditions:Position includes working collaboratively with parents, guardians and conservators as well as to youth with behavioral problems, including possible physical aggression. A dependable personal vehicle is required for travel.Exposure to Confidential Information:The position will have access to confidential records including resident and personnel files. Must maintain confidentiality and follow policies related to personnel and client records.Key Expectations/Responsibilities:Programming:Plan and facilitate group programming to address the social and emotional needs of clients related to achievement of individual goalsPlan therapeutic daily client schedule in collaboration with Program Manager and Director of Residential Services-RTCUtilize biotherapy/neurotherapy to support treatment goalsProvide crisis intervention and stabilization to clients who are in psychological distressLeadership and Supervision:Clinical Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and evaluation of the clinical services provided to clients and families provided through the Residential Treatment CenterThe Clinical Manager facilitates client intakes, clinical services, client discharges, communication with families and partnering entities and coordinates the treatment team to oversee and implement the overall clinical and case management services provided to residents in the programAssigns cases and creates and implements schedules for all clinical servicesCoordinates and supervises clinical staff providing constructive feedback and professional guidanceProvides personnel with clinical training and opportunities for continuous developmentProvides weekly consultation with therapist assigned to clientsProvides weekly supervision of assigned interns.Reviews and approves clinical and case record documentation for clients in the program to ensure effective and timely clinical services are being delivered with each client and family.Ensures that assessments and service plans meet all requirements and are individualized to meet each client's needs with meaningful goals and progress updates. Assists staff with client placement stability by facilitating placement disruptions meetings and debriefings. Provides data to the Quality Assurance Manager for Quality Care Committee reviewAttends and participates in program staff meetings and provides weekly clinical case consultationCoordinates and maintains documents and files for services provided through MOUs with outside agencies regarding clinical care (i.e., psychiatry, occupational therapy, etc.)Coordinates timely and quality treatment team meetings, service plans, and discharge plans with all identified parties.Ensures that after care services are provided for clients and families post program participation.Participates as a member of the Wichita On Call Team including carrying the on call phone and responding to calls after hours and on weekends during time on call.Facilitates the CBCL, YoQ. Casey Life Skills evaluative tools for the RTC population.Ensures CANS recommendations and implementation plans are incorporated into the clients' service plans.Training:Continues to develop and provide program staff training on trauma- informed care and other clinical skill developmentFacilitates staff training on TBRI® and other clinical skills as neededMaintains personal training requirements to meet all contract, monitoring, or accreditation requirements.Clinical Structures:Oversees individual, family and group therapy services for residents in accordance with assigned T3C service packages, contract requirements, and accreditation or other associated standards.Facilitates in collaboration with the Program Manager and Director of Residential Services-RTC in the development, training and implementation of trauma-informed programming and clinical structuresEvaluates performance of therapists and contracted service professionalsMonitors compliance to legal guidelines, credentialing, internal policies and quality standardsImplements and ensures that life and social skills groups are delivered to meet client needs.Assists in the development of clinical structures to provide services that meet the credentialed service packages.Planning:Facilitates clinical program planning with the Director of Residential Services-RTC and treatment team members to continuously improve resident experiences and outcomes.Facilitate cross-system collaboration to meet client needs.Participates with clinical staff across programs to continuously improve clinical services and the clinical development of staff including developing clinical structures for assessments, monitoring tools, training needs and coaching strategiesParticipates in Performance and Quality Improvement processes, planning, and performance improvement tasks.
