About the Role
We are seeking a Florida Licensed Irrigation Technician to join our Miami grounds maintenance team. This role is critical in ensuring irrigation systems operate efficiently, comply with state and county codes, and support the health and appearance of landscapes across Miami-Dade County.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance: Conduct seasonal adjustments, preventative checks, and system tune-ups. Perform routine preventative maintenance on existing irrigation systems, including seasonal adjustments, head cleaning, and system checks.
• Installation: Install irrigation systems (piping, sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, backflow devices) per design specifications and local codes.
• System Optimization : Implement water-saving techniques and recommend system upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce water consumption.
• Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose leaks, electrical malfunctions, clogs, and controller issues; perform timely repairs.
• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients, explain services, and resolve concerns.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate service records and system diagrams.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with Florida irrigation regulations and company safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Required:
  
  
  • Valid Florida State Irrigation Contractor License (SCC)
  • Valid Miami-Dade County Irrigation Certification
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on irrigation experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, wiring, controllers, pumps, and backflow prevention
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and lift heavy equipment

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Backflow Prevention Certification
  • Experience with smart irrigation systems and water conservation technologies
