This onsite role involves providing vital support to both students and teaching staff, especially those with complex needs and aggressive behaviors. The selected candidate must be ready to begin on Monday, 4/13.

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional, particularly in a school environment
• Proven ability to manage and de-escalate challenging or aggressive behaviors
• Skilled in collaborating effectively with educators and multidisciplinary teams
• Comfortable working across K-12 grade levels
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a caring attitude
• Willingness and ability to be onsite throughout the contract assignment

Key responsibilities:

• Provide direct assistance to students in the classroom, adapting to individual needs
• Support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Assist teachers with behavior management and lesson support
• Model appropriate behavior and encourage positive social interactions among students
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations as needed to the instructional team
