What You'll Do

As an Elder Neglect Litigation Attorney, you will manage a diverse caseload and play a central role in developing and executing litigation strategies.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage elder neglect and abuse litigation matters from case evaluation and inception through resolution , including discovery, negotiations, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Develop thoughtful and effective case strategies based on the facts, applicable law, and each client's individual objectives.
• Conduct sophisticated legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research resources .
• Draft persuasive complaints, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Represent and advocate for clients in settlement negotiations, mediations, hearings, and courtroom proceedings.
• Work closely with clients, families, experts, investigators, and other professionals to build compelling cases.
• Manage discovery and case deadlines while ensuring compliance with applicable procedural requirements.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and comprehensive case files and documentation.
• Monitor developments in elder law, civil litigation, and relevant regulations to ensure effective case strategy.
• Collaborate with colleagues and multidisciplinary team members while independently managing competing priorities and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an attorney who combines strong litigation ability, excellent judgment, persuasive communication, and a genuine commitment to client advocacy .

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction and good standing.
• Demonstrated experience in medical malpractice; experience handling elder neglect, elder abuse, personal injury, or related matters is strongly preferred.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent legal writing skills and the ability to develop clear, persuasive arguments.
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
• Strong client-service mindset and commitment to protecting clients' interests.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting demanding deadlines.
