Server Assistant

Description POSITION SUMMARY: The server assistant is responsible for assisting the hosts and servers and are an integral part of a restaurant’s staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary Take guest orders by writing them down or memorizing them Clear or reset table at the end of each guest visit Wrapping utensils in napkins accordingly. Clearing dirty plates, utensils, and glassware from tables as required. Preparing tables for arriving guest by wiping up spills, clearing away crumbs, replacing soiled linen, and setting up tableware, napkins, and condiments. Delivering food to tables when Servers are busy. Arranging tables and chairs to accommodate larger groups of patrons. Ensuring that the server station is adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 21 years of age Minimum of 1 years’ experience ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 20 hours a week. Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop and carry Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors. Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and guest traffic.
