Software Architect - Security & AI, Web Application Development

Job Summary Our client is seeking a Software Architect III to join our architecture and infrastructure team, designing and delivering secure, scalable platforms on AWS. The ideal candidate brings deep experience with EKS, serverless patterns, and infrastructure-as-code, paired with a security-first mindset (least-privilege IAM, automated vulnerability patching, encrypted-by-default). In this role you will work directly with the director of data platforms and principal dev leads to improve custom in-house software solutions. You will also evaluate current and future tooling related to ETL and reporting systems. If you thrive at the intersection of platform engineering, application security, and applied AI, and you want to shape how a team builds and ships software, apply today!Core Responsibilities Own the architecture for cloud-native web applications from Terraform-provisioned infrastructure and GitLab CI/CD pipelines to AI-powered integrations that accelerate developer productivity Lead AI integration strategy evaluating and embedding LLM-based tooling into internal workflows, building intelligent automation, and ensuring these capabilities ship with the same rigor as production software Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Object-oriented full-stack programming (Java, Python, Go, etc.) Familiarity with full-stack cloud-based web application development, systems, and design AWS cloud-native integrations and solutions Terraform Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Go programming and experience with multi-threaded applications Background with data lakes and data warehouse systems Background with big data processing such as Spark EKS platforms Argo CD Python/Java background for backend services Understanding of monitoring solutions such as Datadog Key Competencies & Behaviors Architects for scalability and security Drives technical innovation and AI adoption Collaborates and influences across teams Work Environment Location: Greenwood Village, CO Hybrid: Four days onsite, one day remote Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $70.00 and $80.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
