We are seeking an experienced  Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join a  high-acuity pediatric anesthesia care team  in  Charleston, SC . This locum opportunity offers the chance to work in a  leading children’s hospital environment , providing anesthesia care for a variety of pediatric cases while collaborating with a highly skilled anesthesia team.

Position Highlights

⏰ Schedule

  Start Date: May 4, 2026 (ASAP once credentialed)

  Assignment Duration: Minimum 3 months with option to extend
⏳  Shift Length:  13.5-hour shifts
Includes 30-minute unpaid lunch break

  Flexible schedule , including occasional  weekend shifts

  Call: No call required

Clinical Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia for  pediatric surgical procedures
Work closely with  anesthesiologists, surgeons, and surgical teams
Monitor patients  before, during, and after anesthesia
Ensure safe anesthesia delivery and patient stabilization
Maintain detailed documentation using  Epic EMR

Case Types

Providers will manage a  variety of pediatric surgical cases , including:

General pediatric surgical procedures
Trauma-related surgical cases
Complex pediatric procedures typical of a  Level I trauma center

  Exclusions

• No obstetrics
• No regional blocks required
• No cardiac cases unless experienced in  pediatric cardiac anesthesia

  Anesthesia Care Team practice model

  Epic EMR system
Exposure to a wide range of pediatric surgical cases

Providers may work across  multiple pediatric care locations  within the health system based on scheduling needs.

✅ Requirements

✔  Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
✔  Minimum 3+ years of pediatric anesthesia experience
✔  Active South Carolina license  or in progress
✔ Strong proficiency with  Epic EMR
✔ Ability to work in a  high-volume pediatric surgical environment

Candidates must reside  more than 60 miles from Charleston, SC  per facility guidelines.

Orientation

✔  Flat orientation provided  for hospital modules and Epic personalization to help ensure a smooth onboarding process.
