Nurse (Educator)

Duties

Develops and delivers comprehensive training programs and specialized courses to prepare employees for their roles, while revising and designing curricula to better meet evolving training needs and using evaluation tools to assess outcomes and program effectiveness.

Develops and delivers orientation programs to prepare hospital employees, tailoring training to individual needs, coordinating unit-specific instruction, and evaluating progress while communicating outcomes to supervisors.

Maintains a hospital-wide competence program responsible for assisting departments in developing, assessing, and evaluating employee competencies.

Prepares performance improvement reports as to the effectiveness of orientation and continuing education programs.

Maintains current knowledge and skills for educational and other health related theories and techniques. Consults with and participates in professional organizations on local, national, and/or national levels.
