Oracle Fusion Data Expert

Role Overview The Oracle Fusion Data Expert is the operational backbone of data quality. Working directly alongside the Data Quality Advisor, this role owns day‑to‑day transaction integrity, drives the consultant function remapping program, executes the structured audit calendar, and ensures Oracle Fusion HCM data is accurate, complete, and fit for downstream automation. This is a hands‑on execution role — the person in this seat does the work, not just coordinates it. What This Role Does Oracle Fusion HCM — Transaction Execution & Data Integrity Transact all Joiner, Mover, and Leaver records in Oracle Fusion HCM with full soft mandatory field completion; zero blank fields on save. Serve as named HR Ops lead for data corrections: only this role and the Data Quality Advisor may apply corrections directly in Fusion. Log every correction via the structured correction request form, complete impact assessments before applying any change, and add immutable audit notes to all corrected records. Maintain the soft mandatory field register; flag any new fields that business or compliance changes require and raise Fusion config change requests with IT. Own the consultant function remapping workflow end‑to‑end – extract null function lists, coordinate proposals with HRBPs and line managers, and apply remapping in Fusion once dual Reward + ISIT signoff is confirmed. Audit Execution & Exception Management Action daily Fusion exception reports: contact HR Ops within 24 hours for any record with missing mandatory fields; resolve or escalates within 2 business days. Run and validate weekly cadence checks: consultant null function report, headcount variance (>5% threshold = investigation), pending approval chase (>3 days = auto chase). Contribute data to the monthly data quality scorecard; identify recurring error patterns and escalates for training or process update. Support the quarterly deep audit of Fusion function codes vs ISIT access logs; document discrepancies and track remediation. Maintain the correction request SharePoint tracker – all items logged, stat used, and turnaround time tracked against the Governance & Process Compliance Apply and enforce the RACI matrix for all transaction types – escalates where ownership is unclear rather than self‑correcting outside the defined process. Maintain Fusion audit trail discipline: every field change must have a user, timestamp, and reason code. Support annual RACI and soft mandatory field register reviews; prepare documentation for signoff by the HR Director. Ensure all Joiner/Mover/Leaver records include effective dates, reason codes, and worker type classifications before workflow is completed. Automation Enablement (Tier 1 & 2 Support) Provide functional requirements and test support for Tier 1 Fusion automation: field validation rules, approval workflow chains, OTBI scheduler configuration. Support Power Automate flows for leaver notifications, correction request routing, and remapping approval tracking – own the functional testing and signoff. Identify manual tasks that are candidates for automation and document them for the IT/automation backlog with a clear business case. What We’re Looking For Essential Experience Hands‑on experience transacting in Oracle Fusion HCM Demonstrated accuracy in managing employee lifecycle transactions (Joiners, Movers, Leavers) with attention to data completeness. Experience working with audit trails, correction workflows, and data governance processes in an HR context. Ability to run and interpret OTBI or equivalent HR reporting – identifying exceptions, null values, and data anomalies. Comfortable operating within a RACI framework and escalating to stakeholders rather than self‑correcting outside defined boundaries. Skills & Capabilities High data accuracy instinct – notices what’s missing, not just what’s wrong. Teaching mindset – coaches HR users on correct data entry to prevent errors at the source, not just fix them after. Structured and methodical: follows process precisely, documents actions, closes the loop. Confident communicating data issues to HR Ops, HRBPs, Reward, and ISIT teams without needing management escalation for routine issues. Comfortable in Microsoft Power Platform environment (Power Automate, SharePoint) at a functional user level. Strong Excel / OTBI report literacy – can extract, sense check, and act on exception data independently. Desirable Oracle Fusion HCM configuration awareness (validation rules, workflow configuration). Experience with contingent workforce management or consulting workforce data in a complex org.
