Senior Data Engineer

Senior Data EngineerLead data migration analyst and data migration efforts. They shall oversee the preparation of complex data queries; Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL), data cleansing; prepare complex data analysis including trends, links, patterns, and an anomaly analysis. This role requires strategic planning, leadership, and collaboration with different teams to seamlessly transition data between new and legacy systems. This role involves providing technical guidance and expertise in developing and optimizing the outcome of transitioning data sets within project timelines as required by the government.Responsibilities:Provide data migration planning, strategy, assessment and analysis support to IT AD and delivery partnersProvide data migration testing and validation support designing and executing comprehensive testing strategiesProvide data migration execution and support to IT AD, business partners, stakeholder management, security and compliance support to IT AD and delivery partnersProvide continuous improvement of data migration activities to IT AD and business partners Optimize data migration activities to resolve performance concernsIdentify areas for business process improvement and reengineering which will alter the data set and impact data migrationShall Have:10+ years of experience in data engineering, and data architectureExpert knowledge in Informatica and RDBMS Familiarity with AWS, Java and Pega, Salesforce, MuleSoftCertified Database Developer is required in a RDBMS technology such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL along with Extraction, Transformation, and Load (ETL). Attach certificationStrong understanding of software development processes, standards and best practicesProven experience in IT management roles, preferably as a contractorProven experience with complex and nested SQL queries as well as strong statistics and technical writing skillsAbility to work within contract deadlines and deliverablesA Bachelor of Science (BS) in computer science (CS) field is required.Compensation:The expected compensation range for this position is $110,000 – $180,000 annually. Compensation is determined in good faith and may vary based on job-related factors, including relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, clearance level, labor category alignment, contract requirements, work location, internal equity, and business needs. The posted range reflects the Sky's reasonable estimate at the time of posting and does not guarantee a specific salary or rate.
