Product Demonstrator Part Time

Description The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations. The Associate acquires and maintains knowledge of products represented, prepares, serves, and breaks down product, equipment, and supplies. The Associate intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner while maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements. Responsibilities Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented. Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner. Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product. Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives. Maintains a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals. Maintains a professional appearance consistent with job requirements. Properly sets up and prepares the event table for execution. Achieves 100% execution on assigned work. Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections. Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. Completes expense reports as per company policy. Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution. Accesses the internet, navigates company systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, and views assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company maintains discretion to change the role based on business or client needs. Individuals may be expected to perform additional job‑related tasks as directed by management. Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. One to three months of related experience or training is preferred. Computer Skills: Proficient use and navigation of a personal computer or mobile device using applications and internal systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food handler permit may be required. Physical Demands: The Associate will regularly stand, walk, lift, and move up to 50 pounds, operate a wheeled demonstration cart, use hand tools, and be in contact with cleaning supplies. Tasks include reaching overhead up to 65 inches, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and stepping ladder. Must be able to stand for extended periods and handle food equipment such as ovens, fryers, coffee makers, and microwaves. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Work Environment: Retail store environment with limited travel. Physical Appearance: Professional appearance and grooming, consistent with the retailer's dress code. Language Skills: English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
