Position Details Assistant Dean for Curriculum and Evaluation – Advanced Nursing Practice (MSN, DNP, and Post‑MS Certificate Programs). Department: Advanced Nursing Practice. Position Status: Full Time. Salary Range: $100,000 - $140,000. Benefits Medical, prescription drug, and dental coverage Paid vacation, holidays, and various leave programs Competitive retirement benefits, including defined contribution plans and voluntary tax‑deferred savings options Employee and dependent educational benefits (when applicable) Life insurance coverage Employee discount programs Responsibilities Administrative Leadership Work with faculty, SON Administration, and staff to implement strategic plans and assure ongoing quality improvement and integrity of the Advanced Nursing Practice Division programs and courses. Collaborate with Specialty Directors and the Admissions team on implementation of recruitment and retention strategies. Design and enact strategies for post‑graduation communication with students to enhance the student experience, provide ongoing support, and develop future preceptors. Chair meetings as delegated by the Associate Dean. Interact with units across the school and/or the university. Assume other responsibilities or duties as assigned. Submit reports as required. Academic Leadership Collaborate with administration, SON Curriculum committee and Evaluation committee, faculty, students, and alumni to develop, implement and evaluate the Advanced Nursing Practice Division curricula, faculty, and program. Oversee formative and summative evaluations of all Advanced Nursing Practice Division students and graduates. Mentor, advise, and assist all Advanced Nursing Practice Division faculty members in their educational duties. Work with Specialty Directors and faculty on student concerns. Maintain current and extensive knowledge of the scientific and academic information covered by the curriculum. Regularly attend conferences and seminars designed to enhance and develop Advanced Nursing Practice Division programs. Adhere to the policies and procedures of the School, the University, academic partners, and clinical institutions as appropriate. Understand and adhere to Rutgers University’s compliance standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy. Fulfill the role of a faculty member in teaching, scholarship, and service. Assume other responsibilities or duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Terminal doctoral degree (DNP, EdD, or PhD in Nursing or related field preferred). Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching in nursing. Experience in academic administration preferred. Expertise in national graduate nursing education standards and accreditation. Demonstrates excellence in online nursing pedagogy and evaluation of learning outcomes and graduate nursing competencies. Adaptable, team player with a strong collaborative style. Creative thinker with high energy and enthusiasm. Strong interpersonal and team skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Certifications / Licenses Current RN licensure or eligibility for RN licensure in New Jersey.
