Supports patient care by providing highly skilled patient mobility specific to their mobility score and goal achievement Responsibilities:
- Assists clinical staff with patient mobility, taking vitals as appropriate for mobility needs, and documenting in the electronic medical record.
- Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, emotional, mental conditions to nursing and/or therapy staff.
- Reports on mobility and aligns care with nursing and therapy, and documents directly within Epic to support clinical team assessments.
- Manages the cleanliness and organization of mobility equipment and the unit, as appropriate in accordance with infection prevention guidelines.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Minimum Required Education: None required.
Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
Minimum Experience: None required. - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
