Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion Therapy

This position involves caring for patients before, during, and after various procedures. Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment, pre-medication, documentation, and post-procedure care. Patient education is also a key component of this role. The RN will scrub in for procedures and assist other members of the team. Perform nursing care of patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. Conduct cardiac diagnostic nursing procedures according to established protocols. Assist in stress echocardiograms, routine treadmill exams, nuclear and pharmacologic stress testing, tilt table tests, and echocardiograms. Provide prep, assistance, and recovery for interventional radiology procedures. Evaluate and screen patients for safety prior to testing. Provide sedation monitoring in accordance with policy and document appropriately. Insert PICC lines and act as a vascular access expert. Manage and operate necessary equipment and supplies required for patient care. This includes cardiac output monitors, hemodynamic systems, and defibrillators. Scrub in for procedures with attending physicians. Record pertinent information accurately. Develop and enhance educational materials related to cardiovascular care. Demonstrate the ability to manage assignments effectively. Participate in professional association activities to remain current on regulations and guidelines. Possess a thorough understanding of pre, intra, and post-procedure routines. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure quality care is provided. Insert PICC lines using ultrasound guidance and educate patients on the process. Interpret information effectively and report relevant data to physicians. Maintain all necessary nursing equipment and supplies. Function as part of the transport team when high-level care is required for patients. Transfer patients when necessary, stock supplies, and perform basic office functions. Other duties as assigned.
