Details\n \n Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients \n 1:4 patient ratio \n Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:45-7:15) on an alternating 36/48 schedule \n 12 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) required per contract \n Cerner charting experience preferred \n Requirements\n \n Active TX or compact RN license required \n Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications required \n Minimum 2 years of ER experience required \n Previous travel nursing experience required \n Level II Trauma Center experience required \n Skilled in shock/trauma care including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations \n Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition \n Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE \n Experience managing psychiatric emergencies including acute psychosis, overdose, and suicidal patients \n IV therapy skills including starting/maintaining IVs, blood product administration, and arterial line management \n Experience administering emergency medications and IV vasopressors \n Additional Information\n \n Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including respiratory infections, seizures, sepsis, and trauma \n Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and neurological emergencies such as CVA and traumatic brain injury \n Apply splints and assist with orthopedic stabilization as needed \n Must reside within a 50-mile radius, and local candidates are not accepted \n Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with automatic cancellation for positive results \n First-time travelers are not being considered for this position given experience requirements \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-746796.
