Data Scientist

The main function of the Data Scientist is to produce innovative solutions driven by exploratory data analysis from complex and high-dimensional datasets.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of statistics, metaheuristic optimization, programming, data modeling, simulation, and advanced mathematics to identify opportunities, pose business questions, and make valuable discoveries leading to product development and improvement.
• This role is to work with an existing Distribution Optimizer code base written in Python using OOP to make improvements and adjust to business requirements.
• Use a flexible, analytical approach to design, develop, and evaluate predictive models and advanced algorithms that lead to optimal value extraction from the data.
• Generate and test hypotheses and analyze and interpret the results of product experiments.
• Work on Distribution Optimizer product for Commodity and Supply Chain Management digital platform

Required Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience with metaheuristic optimization algorithm in previous projects
• Experienced in object oriented programming in Python
• Experience in developing and deploying solutions in Azure
• Familiarity in data modeling in order to collaborate with data engineers in resolving data issues
• The ability to communicate effectively in writing, including conveying complex information and promoting in-depth engagement on course topics.
• Experience working with large datasets.

Education

• Master of Science degree in computer science or in a relevant field.
