Job Opportunity

Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse provides comprehensive care for patients in the perioperative setting. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, formulating nursing diagnoses, planning interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes. The clinical nurse will be expected to circulate in all specialty areas of the operating room, including Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, and Dental procedures. Obtaining experience in scrubbing is highly encouraged. Flexibility to work varied hours while on call and preparation for emergency cases on short notice is essential.

Licenses and Certifications

A valid, current, full, and unrestricted Professional Nursing License to practice nursing in any U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association within six (6) months of hire.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six (6) months of hire.
Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification must be completed within one (1) year of hire.
Trauma Nurse Core Courses (TNCC) certification must be completed within two (2) years of hire.

Education and Experience

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Two (2) years of clinical nurse and/or operating room practical experience.

Additional Information

Orientation occurs every two weeks.
COVID-19 and flu exemptions may be accepted with a submitted declination form.
Housing options may be limited with shared units available at a monthly rate, based on availability.
Housing applications must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start date.
