Network Automation Engineer – App Hosting Location: Summit NJ – Must sit onsite 3xweek from Day 1 Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship Role Summary: We are looking for a Network Automation Engineer for an opportunity at one of our top clients in Summit NJ. This is a long-term contract role that sits HYBRID (3 days/week onsite) – rate is $75/hour on w2 Project Details: Positions are required to quickly address or migrate B2B connections from legacy data centers in order to meet Data Center Exit timelines. These positions on the Business to Business Hosting team are needed to support the data analysis, planning, 3rd Party contact communication and co-ordination activities for the migration of connections to locations from the legacy data centers. Support buildout of Secure Network Services (SNS) Critical Infrastructure in the new North America Data Centers. Must Haves: 5+ years of Network Engineering experience 5+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Ansible, Perl, Python, YAML, Java, or PL-SQL 5+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API) 5+ years of experience with Linux OS environment 2-5+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of the following: GitHub, SVN(Subversion), TFVC (Team Foundation Version Control) or TFSGit (Team Foundation Server) Experience with creating and or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams Specific Job Description: Lead the review, resolution and implementation for the most complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale network applications, data systems, voice and other technical products and services. Use and create diagnostic, simulation and other tools to maintain, troubleshoot and restore service or data to systems. Utilizing Ansible orchestration and Python scripting to simplify high volume and/or high-risk tasks for business partners. Knowledge and experience working with JSON. Knowledge and experience working with RESTful API. Evaluate or review queries to extract data, create standard procedures, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supported. Research performance trends and recommend process improvements. Perform complex migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and configurations. Make decisions in security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions. Assess changes for risk to production systems and assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas. Identify gaps in current technology processes and recommend changes to assure Service Level Agreements can be supported. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. Required Skills: 5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 5+ years of advanced scripting experience using Unix Shell Scripting, Ansible, Perl, Python, YAML, Java, or PL-SQL 5+ years of experience developing and using RESTful Application Program Interface (API) 5+ years of experience with Linux OS environment 2-5+ years of experience with source coding in one or a combination of the following: GitHub, SVN(Subversion), TFVC (Team Foundation Version Control) or TFSGit (Team Foundation Server) Experience with creating and or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams Desired Skills: Agile methodology experience Knowledge/Skills/Ability to identify key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution Experience working in a large enterprise environment BS/BA degree or higher in information technology or equivalent work experience accepted Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skill Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management Ability to manage initiatives including detailed planning, process management, and documentation Experience in process Improvement (6 Sigma), solution implementation, and change management My3Tech Inc
