(BSI) is seeking a motivated Junior Systems Engineer  with a background in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering to support, maintain, troubleshoot, and deploy integrated security, communications, and infrastructure systems across aviation, transportation, and government facilities.

This entry-level engineering role bridges traditional engineering disciplines, IT infrastructure, and security operations. It is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience working with mission-critical systems that support airports, transportation networks, and government operations.

You will work alongside experienced engineers and project teams in both field and office environments, gaining practical experience in systems integration, networking, low-voltage infrastructure, and client-facing technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis across multiple system layers, including power, cabling, networking, software platforms, and end-user interfaces
• Maintain, repair, and optimize physical infrastructure, including low-voltage systems, power distribution, communications equipment, and connected devices
• Assist with the installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of integrated technology systems
• Configure and troubleshoot IP-based networks, including switches, VLANs, routing, VPNs, firewalls, and connected devices
• Support security and communications platforms, including Video Management Systems (VMS), access control systems, alarm monitoring systems, and situational awareness technologies
• Monitor system performance, review logs and alerts, identify trends, and recommend preventive maintenance actions
• Respond to service requests, perform preventive maintenance, and maintain accurate service documentation and reports
• Participate in site visits, system assessments, testing, and deployment activities
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, network drawings, equipment layouts, and technical documentation
• Assist with the development of reports, procedures, system diagrams, and engineering documentation
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, project managers, vendors, and customers to resolve technical issues and support project delivery
• Participate in design reviews and contribute recommendations for system improvements and risk mitigation
• Communicate technical information effectively to customers and stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with applicable safety requirements, security standards, industry codes, and project specifications
• Stay current on emerging technologies and participate in training and certification programs

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships, co-ops, laboratory experience, and academic projects are welcome)
• Basic understanding of electrical and electronic systems
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and network troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and network documentation
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to security technologies such as CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, fire/life safety, or communications systems
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering design software
• Experience with low-voltage infrastructure, structured cabling, or IT systems
• Understanding of systems integration principles
• Interest in pursuing professional certifications such as EIT, CCNA, BICSI, Security+, or related credentials
