Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures by clearly explaining the process with empathy and clarity
• Work in partnership with radiologists and referring physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic images
• Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Keep accurate records of procedures and patient information within the electronic medical system
• Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging technologies and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is highly preferred
