With event and overnight rooms, gym, food, drink, and more, the Town Club is an oasis in the heart of one of the busiest cities in the world.

The Gym Attendant is responsible for the following:

• Maintaining the integrity of the operations and goals of the Athletics & Wellness Department.
• Cleanliness and maintenance of the Cardio Strength Room, Pilates Studio, Racquetball/Squash Courts, Indoor Basketball Court, Athletic office and surrounding areas of the Athletics & Wellness Department.
• Aid in overseeing, maintaining and monitoring all activities that take place at the Town Club Cardio-Strength Room and Athletics & Wellness areas inclusive of but not exclusive of staff activity, exercise programs, POS System, etc.
• Monitor all membership information: Check for sign-in, proper attire, correct age, adherence to Club Policy, ensuring child certification and privileges, etc.
• Report all incidents and repair and maintenance issues to Town Club 5th Floor Manager.
• Monitor and must be proficient in the equipment operation in the Cardio Strength Room for efficiency, esthetic appearance and maintenance.
• Work consistently to ensure the equipment maintenance and repairs are done when needed and in a timely fashion (inclusive of emergency repairs).
• Should the need arise must be available to fill in for employees who do not report or are unable to cover their designated work shift.
• Is willing to help in the implementation of tournaments, special events and health/fitness/wellness programs that will take place at the Town Club.
• Ability to work under pressure and complete assignments in a timely fashion.
• Assist Supervisors and other staff members with moving, lifting and setting up equipment.
• Troubleshoot POS, radio and/or television issues.

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Athletics and Wellness-related areas (I.e. Sports, Health, and Fitness)
• Must be familiar will all equipment in the Cardio Strength Room.
• Ability and opportunity to be resourceful, creative, innovative and maintain flexibility.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with staff, Members and guests.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to focus and maintain attention to performance of tasks despite frequent, stressful, emergency, critical or unusual interruptions.
• Must be proactive and display initiative in every day operations, task demands, etc.

Work Conditions:

• Most tasks are performed in a team environment.
• Work areas include ALL Athletics & Wellness Department areas.

Physical Capabilities:

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to bend, lift, pull, push, carry, reach, stoop and stretch

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
