Workers' Compensation Paralegal

Our client is seeking an experienced workers' compensation paralegal/legal assistant to support attorneys on high-volume cases.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Handle high-volume incoming/outgoing calls, emails, mail, and client communications; respond to inquiries efficiently and maintain continuous client contact
• Gather, review, and manage client case details including workplace injury information, treatment details, and medical providers; request and review medical records
• Maintain attorney calendars by scheduling meetings with clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, and court personnel
• Prepare, organize, and maintain complete case files including documents, pleadings, drafts, notes, and case summaries under tight deadlines
• Monitor deadlines, ensure timely filings/submissions, follow firm procedures, maintain confidentiality, and work independently with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification preferred
• Prior experience as a paralegal, preferably in workers' compensation law
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management systems
• Strong organizational, communication skills, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively; Spanish fluency preferred (not required); must be willing to relocate and work in-person in Fredericksburg, VA 22401
