Full Time Manual Labor Elmwood, WI, US Salary Range: $21.50 To $22.50 Hourly Floater Job Overview: In this role, you will alternate between working as a Press Operator and an Assembly Operator at MAI/Genesis, with occasional responsibilities as an Assembly Operator at Genesis as needed. Responsibilities and Duties: Be able to work in a safe manner and follow safe work practices and policies. Help ensure co-workers are working safely and following safety requirements. Follow policies that support the quality system Report and document any issues with quality, process, equipment and/or components to Quality or Molding Manager Set and use scales for part counts Run equipment such as, but not limited to Sleeve Machine, RF Sealers, Heat Welder, Needle Machine, Arbor Press, Drill Press, Auto Baggers, Pad Printer, Hot Stamper, Capper, Sonic Welder and Molding Presses. Visually and mechanically inspect parts and packaging of the products Clean hoppers, dryers, and grinders Read and interpret mix sheets, assuring proper raw materials are used to mixing Sort, count, package and labelfinished goods Complete paperwork, such as listing good parts, scrap parts and time for each job. Clean around workstation at the end of the shift Perform all other duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills: Solid understanding of safe work practices and OSHA. Knowledge of basic math, including additional, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Strong Attention to Detail and Communication Skills. Ability to review, interpret, and evaluate company documents. Must be able to read and understand how to use scales. Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional disposition. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet time deadlines, and perform under pressure. Ability to operate a forklift or train to operate. Ability to read and understand packing slips/ sales orders. Ability to be self-motivated and complete tasks in a timely manner. Education and Experience: High school graduation or equivalent. Previous experience with hand tools and material handling equipment preferred (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.). Must be able to read, write, and understand instructions, warnings, labels, and postings. Must be able to complete accurate documentation. Must work closely with others in a team atmosphere. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 40-50lb pounds independently. Must be able to stand, walk, climb, reach, lift, pull, push, stoop, squat, bend and stretch as needed throughout the assigned eight-hour shift. Ability to frequently use hands, wrists, and fingers to handle, grip, grasp, pinch, turn, press, and manipulate small parts, tools, and assembly materials. Must be able to read, write and understand instructions, warnings, labels, and postings.
