Surgical Tech II

Role Overview: Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician, performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings. Assists the surgical team by managing equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe operating environment, availability, and proper functioning of necessary tools. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and supplies. Assist with the setup and breakdown of operating rooms. Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment operate correctly. Support the surgical team during procedures, adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications & Skills: Education: High school diploma required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program. Experience: At least 1 year of surgical tech experience; preferred experience as a surgical tech. Certifications & Licenses: Surgical Technician Certification by recognized boards or military/public health programs; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. Only one certification is necessary, obtained within 90 days. Additional Requirements: Must obtain required certifications within 90 days of employment.
