We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join a welcoming school district in Centreville, Maryland for the upcoming school year. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide specialized instruction that supports students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that encourages student growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Maryland Special Education Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain certification.
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but passionate new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to helping students reach their full potential.
