Senior Scientist

The Senior Scientist (Sr. Scientist) will be located in Port Washington, NY and will report to the Director, Chemistry. This onsite role is part of Pall Corporation, a Danaher company. Responsibilities Lead and execute research and development for strategic projects impacting microelectronics, food & beverage, energy transition, and aerospace filtration and purification platforms. Serve as a technical voice with business unit marketing teams to understand product requirements and drive product specification development via voice of customer (VOC) gathering and evaluation. Identify and execute the most suitable pathways for research and development of new products and product improvements. Initiate Technology Development Projects (TDPs) and manage the TDP portfolio within the chemistry, tech‑transfer, and cleaning teams. Develop the capability to serve as a subject matter expert in filtration and purification technologies and applications. Qualifications PhD in material science, polymer science, or chemistry with experience in polymer synthesis, modification, and functionalization. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with industrial filtration technologies. Demonstrated ability to write and present technical reports. Proven ability to lead in a cross‑functional environment. Preferred: experience in membrane science, colloidal science, and filtration. Preferred: advanced characterization techniques such as microscopy and spectroscopy. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: $111,000 - $120,000. Eligible for bonus and incentive pay.
