About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Finance to be a key strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team. This pivotal role demands a professional with a strong background in FP&A, technical accounting, and SEC reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the annual budget cycle, as well as being deeply involved in complex accounting and registration statement disclosures. The VP of Finance will also play a critical role in the company's transition to a public entity, with direct ownership of SEC reporting readiness and technical accounting matters. Key responsibilities for the VP of Finance include leading SOX readiness, building investor-facing financial materials, and supporting capital markets transactions. The role requires a hands-on approach to financial modeling, and the ability to serve as a senior technical accounting resource. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with a CPA strongly preferred, and at least 15 years' of progressive finance experience. A Big Four public accounting background, followed by industry experience in a biotech or life sciences company, is highly valued. The VP of Finance will also be expected to drive finance systems and process improvements, provide ad hoc financial analysis, and support the CFO in various strategic and operational financial matters.
