About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Purchasing for New Home Sales. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior-level management and oversight to ensure the success of the assigned divisions. This role involves a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to, assisting with company process compliance, supplier and trade negotiations, system accuracy and setup, monitoring and management of all plans, communities, costs, quantities, options, and retails, as well as cost reductions, vendor selection, and quality control. The Vice President of Purchasing will also be involved in cycle time management, estimating accuracy, and regional agreements, and will assist with monitoring staffing needs. Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication are essential for this position. Candidates for the Vice President of Purchasing role should have at least 5 years' of experience in estimating and purchasing at a management level for a high-volume production residential builder. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferred, and experience with relevant software and tools is a plus. The role requires a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary, as is the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships. The position also demands a high level of proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, and a valid driver's license.
