Quality Engineering Technician

Becton Dickinson seeks a Quality Engineering Technician to support quality improvement initiatives at its Sumter, South Carolina facility. The role involves conducting tests, investigations, and process improvements while directing sorting and rework activities and training associates on quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Recommend and facilitate improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
- Instruct and train associates in safe and efficient job performance following established procedures
- Direct resources for sorting, rework containment, and develop test plans to evaluate workforce competency
- Support quality metrics by updating dashboards for defects and rework status
- Conduct time studies, experiments, and process capability analyses; prepare written reports
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to operate precision measurement equipment
- Understanding of component drawings and specifications
- Experience with quality metrics, dashboards, and defect tracking
- Capability to collect data and prepare technical reports
