Typical Schedule: Monday Friday

Typical Shift: 7AM - 5PM (Overtime eligible)

Position Requirements

Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.

• You should have 2 to 4 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy duty truck, construction, or equipment rental background required.
• Intermediate experience with major and minor repairs of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment.
• Experience with Tier 4 and Tier 4 final engines, SCR, EGR, and DPF aftertreatment systems preferred.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and equipment repairs.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to perform repairs; averaging $5,000+ in value.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
• Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
