The Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our food service establishment, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for both staff and guests. This position involves the thorough cleaning and sanitizing of dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to support smooth kitchen operations. Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic reading and comprehension skills to understand safety and sanitation instructions.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions without compromising quality or safety.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Prior experience in a food service or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment and sanitation procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., ServSafe certification).
• Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

• Wash, clean, and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment and manual methods as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and floors, to comply with health and safety standards.
• Sort and stack clean dishes and utensils in designated areas for easy access by kitchen and service staff.
• Assist with the disposal of trash and recycling, ensuring waste is handled properly and promptly.
• Follow all instructions from kitchen supervisors and adhere to established sanitation and safety protocols.

Skills:

The required skills such as basic reading and following instructions ensure that the Dishwasher can understand and implement sanitation protocols accurately.
