Food Safety Supervisor - Northwell Health at Jones Beach Amphitheater

Role Objective Ensure that all aspects of food operation service are being executed safely and in accordance with the HACCP plan. Be a representative of Legends and facilitate County Health Department visits during events. Responsibilities Before Concert: Inspect all food stands prior to shows to identify and resolve potential health violations. Verify that temperature logs are posted on refrigeration and hot holding stations. Ensure all necessary production logs for cooks are available. Confirm that thermometers, small wares, gloves, etc. are available in the cook’s area. Stock hand towel dispensers and soap dispensers. Check hand washing stations to ensure hot water is working. During Concert: Accompany County Health Officials during their walkthrough of the venue while kitchens are operating. Rectify any violations acknowledged by officials. Continue walking the venue before and after the visit to identify and resolve potential violations. Qualifications / Skills Experience in the Food & Beverage industry. Experience with Health Department regulations. Good communication skills. Proven management/supervisory experience. Excellent customer service skills. ServSafe certified. Other Requirements Must be able to stand and exhibit fast‑paced mobility for the entire shift. Must be able to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 45 pounds and occasionally more. Must work in varying temperatures, moving between warm areas and cold workstations. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Follow and encourage the team to follow all safety policies and procedures, including reporting unsafe conditions. Complete company-wide safety training and any additional job‑specific safety training. Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) to the company’s risk management system (Origami Risk) on the same day the incident is reported.
