Columbia Choice Apartments is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. Every day brings something different as you help keep our community operating at its best. Responsibilities include:

• Completing service requests in occupied apartment homes promptly and professionally
• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, plumbing, appliances, electrical issues, fixtures, and general building components
• Performing apartment make-readies and preparing homes for new residents
• Maintaining common areas, building systems, and community grounds
• Recording completed work using a mobile work order system
• Participating in a rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule
• Working independently while collaborating closely with the maintenance and office teams

The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

Qualifications include:

• Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience strongly preferred
• Experience troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, appliance, electrical, and general repair issues
• EPA Certification preferred, but not required
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile work order applications during scheduled shifts
• Valid driver's license required
• Availability to participate in weekend and rotating emergency on-call responsibilities
