Marketing and Communications Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing amp; Communications Coordinator advances Peninsula Agency on Aging#39;s (PAA) visibility, credibility, and

community engagement through strategic, mission-centered communications. Working closely with the Vice

President of Community amp; Corporate Engagement and the Director of Philanthropy, this position leads the day-to-day

execution of marketing, branding, storytelling, and volunteer engagement initiatives that strengthen community

relationships, support philanthropy and partnerships, and enhance PAA#39;s reputation.

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Marketing amp; Communications Coordinator manages and implements PAA#39;s marketing, communications, and

brand strategies across digital, print, and community-facing platforms. This role ensures consistent, mission-centered

messaging that supports fundraising, volunteer engagement, community partnerships, and public awareness of PAA#39;s

mission and impact. The position also coordinates the agency#39;s volunteer program, including volunteer recruitment,

onboarding, and recognition.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

#183; Implement PAA’s marketing and communications strategy in alignment with organizational goals and Mission

Advancement priorities.

#183; Manage day-to-day communications across digital platforms, including website content, email campaigns, social

media, and media outreach.

#183; Develop and maintain consistent organizational messaging, brand standards, and visual identity.

#183; Produce storytelling content, impact materials, and marketing collateral to support philanthropy, partnerships,

programs, and community engagement.

#183; Collaborate with the Director of Philanthropy to support donor communications, campaigns, stewardship

materials, and fundraising initiatives.

#183; Support the Vice President of Community amp; Corporate Engagement with communications related to partnerships,

public visibility, and external engagement.

#183; Coordinate with program staff to elevate community impact, services, and outcomes through effective

communications.

#183; Track, analyze, and report on marketing and engagement metrics to inform strategy and improve effectiveness.

#183; Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely, coordinated, and consistent communications.

#183; Coordinate, support, and attend public-facing events such as community fairs, outreach events, presentations,

and partner activities to increase awareness of PAA’s services and mission.

#183; Support media relations, presentations, and other public-facing materials as needed.

#183; Serve as the agency#39;s central point of contact for volunteer opportunities by coordinating requests and routing

volunteers to the appropriate departments.

#183; Manage volunteer recruitment platforms and oversee volunteer onboarding materials, welcome packets, and

recognition efforts.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

#183; Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional

experience.

#183; Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-

driven environment.

#183; Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear,

engaging messages.

#183; Experience managing digital platforms, including websites, email marketing, and social media.

#183; Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across departments. #183; Experience using data, analytics, or engagement metrics to assess and improve communications efforts.

NONESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

#183; Experience supporting fundraising, donor communications, or development campaigns.

#183; Familiarity with aging services, healthcare, or human services organizations.

#183; Experience with graphic design tools, content management systems, or email marketing platforms.

#183; Experience working with media outlets or supporting public relations efforts.

#183; Experience coordinating volunteers, volunteer programs, or community engagement initiatives preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, TRAVEL, AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment described are representative of those required to perform the essential

these functions. This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands for keyboarding and office tasks,

communicate effectively, and occasionally lift or carry materials up to 20 pounds. Frequent local travel is required,

with occasional long-distance travel for meetings, events, or organizational representation. The work environment

is primarily an office and community-based setting, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. Noise levels are

typically minimal to moderate.
