Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician‑led 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a full time general orthopedic surgeon to join a busy orthopedic practice in Fruitland, Idaho. The team is supported by two Orthopedic Sports Medicine physicians and three Advanced Practice Providers. Schedule and Clinical Responsibilities The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, includes a minimum of 32 patient contact hours per week, plus procedures, rounding and consults & General Ortho ED Call. Support Services Hospital‑based imaging services include a 24/7 radiology department with in‑house coverage for general Radiology and CT; after hours coverage for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine; MRI; Comprehensive Breast Center; and DR image capture technology. Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree. Successful completion of accredited residency. Board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) – or obtain within 3 years. Obtain Idaho & Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC‑Ontario and SAMC‑Nampa. Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
