Learn About a Day In the Life of a Surgical Tech:
Responsibilities- Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, principles of surgical procedures, anatomy and physiology, use and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist the surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Understand the surgery schedule work-flow and is available to meet the needs for room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning.
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program
- NBSTSA or NCCT Certified Surgical Technologist
- Active BLS certification
Preferred Job Requirements:
- One year of surgical technologist experience
